The 5 Must See Acts At Laneway Festival 2023

Laneway Festival is headed west this Sunday 12 February, featuring some of the best local and international artists around.

Held at Wellington Square, the tunes will be pumping and the vibes high as thousands of punters flock to the grounds for an afternoon in the sun. Announced late last year, the lineup was heavily praised for being seriously epic, so naturally we picked out the top 5 acts that should be on everyones hit list!

With a lineup this good there’s bound to be some clashing in the schedule, so if you have to miss someone, just don’t let it be one of these artists:

FRED AGAIN

Quite possibly one of the most anticipated performances of the entire festival, Fred again is a non-negotiable on ours (and everybody else’s) hit list. The British record producer is known for his incredible talent to turn experiences into songs, overlaying personal voice notes and piano chords to create a sound so unique. We guarantee you’ve heard his newest releases on repeat at a party, on the radio, or at your local coffee place, because they’re so damn vibey!

HAIM

The girl band we all wish we could be a part of, HAIM, are making their way back to the Laneway stage, 9 years after their first performance. The sister trio have been absolutely killing the game with Grammy nominations, Brit awards and spots on some of the worlds biggest stages including Coachella and Lollapalooza. Este, Danielle and Alana are a brilliant bunch and a must on your Laneway hit list.

FINNEAS

Nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammys, it’s no surprise that Finneas made the list. The producer/songwriter has risen through the ranks, from the Souncloud days to taking over the Coachella stage, he knows how to put on a stellar performance. Finneas and his sister Billie Eilish have produced some of the top tracks of the past few years so it’s no shock that his solo work is making a name for itself. This is definitely one to get you groovin!

GIRL IN RED

Expect a serious ‘Serotonin’ boost as Girl In Red takes the stage to perform some of her latest and greatest hits. The Norwegian teen is bound to evoke a tonne of emotions and have you screaming along to every lyric. We have no doubt she’ll be performing the tracks we know and love from her critically acclaimed debut album ‘Could Make It Go Quiet’, along with all her other bangers. Set your alarms, you cannot miss this one!

SYCCO

Coming in hot after touring with Tame Impala and supporting Dua Lipa, Sycco will be taking the stage to perform her psych-infused brand of electronica that has won over fans all across the globe! The ‘Superstar’ and ‘Dribble’ singer has risen to stardom in just a few years and it only takes listening to one of her tunes to know why. With more and more infectious tracks coming out since the release of Sycco’s First EP, her Laneway performance is an absolute must-see!

If you’re still on the hunt for a ticket, there’s still a few up for grabs but they won’t last long. Get your hands on one here.
