Clint Nolan, the mind behind Perth’s most popular venues, is back at it again. This time, bringing a piece of Ireland right in the heart of Northbridge. And yes, this means some good ole pint to drink the Irish way.
Joining arms with Paul Moloney, a long-time colleague and a true Irishman in blood, Clint Nolan is set to yet make another kill for an authentic and traditional Irish experience. Standing in the former and iconic Rosie O’Grady’s in Northbridge, Johnny Fox’s joins the top venues of the Lavish Habits Group in giving Perth’s punters the ultimate bar encounter.
With dark, wooden interiors, matched with a Classic Menu featuring craic in dishes and drinks, Johnny Fox’s is a must-to-visit for a full Irish plunge touched with some novel beats.
Right at its doorstep, breathe in some fresher and brighter feel of an old school Irish pub featuring intricately handcrafted wooden bars, chairs, tables, bare brick walls, and the typical colors of green for that famous Irish luck. The lights are coming right in through the large exterior windows, the walls are decorated with maps, and the paintings and flags wave some good greetings straight from the motherland.
FOOD AND DRINK – HERE’S WHAT THEY’VE GOT
With everyone’s favorites like Chicken and Leek Pie, Bangers and Mash, and an ooey-gooey Sticky Date Pudding, Johnny Fox’s certainly has that first-rate taste to offer. Sunday Roast (a bloody delicious and top recommended deal brimming with the creaminess of mash, peas, vegetables, and juicy roast beef) is served sizzling hot and coated in gravy for you to enjoy.
For small bites to start some night of fun, the Sausage Rolls and handmade puff pastry are perfect to lead. It is also highly recommended to take a bite – a mouthful – of the famous and juicy Chicken Parmigiana served up with ham, red sauce, cheese, and chips and slaw. Pair it with a pint or two of either Guinnes and Kilkenny, and truly, you’ll be in for a true Irish bar trope.
If you are not into dark beers, Johnny Fox’s has a long list of beers, wine, and spirits to suit everybody’s taste for a shot. The basic espresso martini can also be enjoyed in a not so basic way as the pub loads the Irish Coffee with Jameson, Cold Brew, Irish Syrup, Cream and Cinnamon.
For a tangy and citrusy treat, The Misty Marmalade is the most mouth-watering with gin, lemon, agave, marmalade, and orange bitters in one glass.
Sitting pretty at 205 James St, and located directly across the Pleasure Garden, Johnny Fox’s is open for a pre-show tipple or a night stay. At present, the pub is still taking its fullest form. The Boston band room will be back with a new name and is something to watch out for some of the most popular live acts.
Johnny Fox’s is just one addition to Nolan’s and Perth’s top venues including Henry Summer, La Cholita, Sneaky Tony’s, Alabama Song, and Joe’s Juice Joint.
