You’ll take a couple of flights up to the top-floor of Hibernian place in the East End of the CBD, to a Middle-Eastern inspired oasis. Giving a modern jungle feel with beautiful greenery and blue and white accents, you’ll be well and truly transported out of the concrete jungle. Hadiqa has an undercover bar area, an open-air terrace and a gorgeous rooftop, to accommodate you for all seasons and feels. It is the perfect bar for after work drinks or you can snazzy it up for your Friday or Saturday night! Host to various activities; just some you could be attending are the Yin and Gin Rooftop Series, Rosé Rooftop and their very own cocktail making classes.
These mixologists know exactly what’s up! A stunningly curated signature cocktail list, with something for everyone (gin, vodka, whiskey and tequila covers just about the lot, right?) and all the bells and whistles. A huge mention goes to their Build-your-own Spritz Tree, where you choose either 4 or 8 of your favourite Hadiqa Spritz’s to build a literal tree – Sign us up! These Spritz’s are also flying solo, so take your pick. We thoroughly enjoyed the ‘Turkish Delight Martini’ (with a Turkish delight jelly and $10 from 5-6pm – absolute steal) and the ‘Blossom’ (which is just too pretty, but not too pretty to drink, every last drop gone).
We cannot fault the drinks at Hadiqa, which is a bonus because it picks up a bit of the slack! We found both the service and vibe to be a bit hit and miss. Sometimes you can go and it’s a pumping, young and fun crowd, then other times it’s a very tame, older, after work-type crowd (we know what we’re after, but you do you)! Music also feels like it comes with the vibe – at least they have some tunes pumping in the background whether it’s soft or loud. We haven’t been overly pleased with the service, whilst not the friendliest, it can also take quite a while to get a drink.
Some hits and misses, but if you love a good cocky-t, you can’t go wrong!
