One of WA’s most esteemed pubs is celebrating its 125th birthday on Saturday 17th September.

The Leederville Hotel poured its first beer in 1897. To put that into perspective, the venue has lived through women ‘s suffrage, Australia becoming a federation, WW1 and WW2, several mining booms, the GFC, the creation of vegemite and more than one global pandemic.

The first building in Leederville with electric lights, as well as the first dancefloor in Perth to introduce cages – today the (not so seedy) Leedy Hotel is the cornerstone of The Leederville Precinct, alongside The Garden and Servo Restaurant.

They are celebrating the way they know best: with a big party, where all are invited! As always, there will be something for everyone in The Leederville Precinct…

  • 125 giveaways hidden around the precinct (all day until all found) Prizes range from drinks to stubby holders to hats etc.
  • Bush Fairies in attendance 12:30pm – 2:30pm
  • Kids Silent Disco in Leeder Hall 1:30pm – 4:30pm
  • Live Acoustic Music in the Garden 4pm – 7pm followed by DJ’s all night
  • Servo Yard Bar will have DJ’s from 2:30pm until late
  • Cake cutting and free cake in The Leederville Hotel at 7.30pm
  • Live Band in The Leederville Hotel from 9pm
  • Daisy’s Late Night Venue Party (Seedy-Leedy throwback) from 9pm – 2am
