The 19th annual Sculptures by the Sea exhibition returns to Cottesloe Beach from March 3rd – March 20th 2023. 

2023 will see over 70 artists from 15 countries, 31 of which are WA locals, showcasing their work across the 18 day exhibition. Featuring artists from Japan, New Zealand, USA and Switzerland, the event is sure to showcase global talent while also placing spotlight on Western Australia’s wealth of artistic talent.

Leading sculptors from across Australia and internationally will be exhibiting at this year’s exhibition, including Richard Goodwin (NSW), Stephen King (NSW), Tony Jones (WA), Kristof Kintera (Czech Republic), Hu Tung Min (Taiwan), Water Hamasaka (Japan), Hannah Kidd (New Zealand), Haruyuki Uchida (Japan) and Kozo Nishino (Japan). This year, Peter Lundberg (USA), Takahiro Hirata (Japan) and Greg Johns (Australia) will be welcomed into the Decade Club, which recognises the artists who have exhibited at Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe ten or more times.

Sculptures by the Sea is one of Perth’s largest free events, attracting an estimated 180,000 people each year, with some travelling interstate and internationally to visit the iconic location. Running across 18 days there’s plenty of time to get down to Cottesloe and check it out. Grab a morning coffee and stroll amongst the stunning sculptures or watch the sun go down as you take in the wonderful talent on display.
