Meet Perth’s Newest Pop-up Restaurant – Pícaresque
Pan Pacific Perth hotel launches Perth’s newest restaurant pop-up ‘Pícaresque’, at an exciting new entertainment venue called The Stage
The Stage, a fresh-on-the-scene entertainment venue, located in the lobby of the luxurious Pan Pacific Perth will host the glamorous Picaresque pop-up restaurant experience. From the the 26th of May every Thursday, Friday and Saturday guests will enter through plush velvet curtains and be transcended into a Spanish oasis. The menu showcasing dishes from eight different locations, taking inspiration from the traditional Spanish tabernas, offering four or six courses.
Head Chef Xerxes Bodhanwala aims to steer away from the norm, challenging cooking conventions and paying homage to the origins of a particular Spanish literature where mischievous, cheeky behaviour is at the core.
Each dish is a unique creation, crafted using a blend of locally sourced produce and authentic Spanish ingredients to deliver the unexpected.
Stand outs on the menu include the Galician Pulpo a Feira, featuring melt-in-your-mouth Fremantle Octopus sous vide style, a delicious paella from Dénia Town featuring Pardoo Station wagyu beef sourced from the Pilbara region, and don’t even think about skipping dessert – the decadent Torrijas de Leche is likened to a caramelised Spanish French toast and is one not to be missed!
The cocktail list carries on the rebellious theme with twists on Spanish classics, including the Piña Picante margarita and a punchy Marianito made with Campari, Red Vermouth and Tanqueray Gin. The cocktail list accompanies a carefully curated wine and beer list with WA and Spanish varietals and cava by the glass.
While Pícaresque is on stage for the next few months, Sevilla Rumba and Flamenco will set the scene, while a talented Flamenco dancer will have guests up on their feet on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.
