Celebrate Hip Hop Turning 50 At Your Fave Leedy Local!

This August will mark 50 years since hip hop was born in the Bronx and what better way to celebrate than a big birthday bash at your fave Leedy local! 

On Sunday 13th August,  The Leederville Hotel is throwing a birthday party for the game-changing genre dubbed Hip Hop 50, packing in Perth’s very best hip hop DJs, BBoys and BGirls, MCs, Beatboxers, and live artists Fajar Sugiarto and Marielle Flood.

This two-level party commemorating 50 years since hip hop was born in the Bronx is a full-venue takeover for the global celebration, featuring old school classics dominating the downstairs area at the Leedy with DJs Adroc, Armee, BRhodes, Charlie Bucket, Karl Blue, Mizhap and Ramoe & Waves spinning the underground sounds from the golden era of hip hop of 1973 to 1999. Upstairs, expect new school beats from 2000 to now by DJs Aslan, Bace Kadet, Bodie, LStreet, Midsole and Profits.
